Volunteer Mentor Training

  • 04 Jun 2009
  • 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Charles Town Presbyterian Church, 220 East Washington St. Charles Town, WV 25414
We are conducting a volunteer-mentor training for anyone who might be interested in fighting poverty in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia through team-work, peer mentoring, and a critical but encouraging friendship.  The training is made up of two halves.

The first half will be Thursday, June 4, from 6-9 PM at the Charles Town Presbyterian Church, 220 East Washington St., Charles Town, WV 25414.

The second half will be 3 weeks later, on Thursday, June 25, again, at the Charles Town Presbyterian Church.  Volunteers will be given all materials, training, and preparation necessary for becoming a volunteer mentor.  No special skills or education is required, all of our neighbors have something to offer a struggling family in our area.
